Before 2010, lawyer Shi Tianyou represented civil lending disputes, labor contract disputes, divorce disputes, traffic accident disputes, equity disputes, entrusted financial management disputes and other non-litigation projects. Since 2010, lawyer Shi Tianyou has focused on acting for bill disputes, especially acting for retrial and protest of bill disputes.

He is a member of China Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the Banking Research Committee of the Tenth Shanghai Lawyers Association, a member of the Law Branch of the Real Estate Chamber of Commerce of Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce, a distinguished researcher of the Jiuyin Bills Research Institute of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.

In 2014, "On the Effective Elements of Bill Pledge" won the Excellence Award of the First Lawyers Academic Competition in Shanghai;

In October 2014, "On Bill Defense" won the third prize of the 12th East China Lawyers Forum;

In October, 2016, "On the Claim of Interest Return of Bills-Concurrently Comment on (2014) Yang Shang Zhong Zi No.0095 Civil Judgment" won the second prize of the 14th East China Lawyers Forum;

In July 2018, "Theoretical Exploration of Bill Asset Securitization" won the third prize of the second essay activity of Jiuyin Bill Research Institute of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics;

In November, 2019, the paper "On the Correct Understanding of Article 49 of Judicial Interpretation of Bill Law" won the third prize of the third theme essay activity of Jiuyin Bill Research Institute of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.
